Why is this not on ABCCBSNBCCNN??
Sunday, January 30, 2005
"OPEC warned Sunday that oil prices, already hovering near $50 a barrel, would remain high through the spring, even as the cartel decided to keep its production ceiling at 27 million barrels a day."
"The U.S. occupation authority in Iraq (news - web sites) was unable to keep track of nearly $9 billion it transferred to government ministries, which lacked financial controls, security, communications and adequate staff, an inspector general has found."
..."CPA staff learned that 8,206 guards were on the payroll at one ministry, but only 602 could be accounted for, the report said. At another ministry, U.S. officials found 1,417 guards on the payroll but could only confirm 642."...
The American taxpayer continues to get it good & hard up the posterior... How does it make you feel to get ripped off at every turn???

"Greenspan said in his speech that "the early history of the post-Bretton Woods system of generalized fiat money was plagued, as we all remember, by excess money issuance". The cheek of the kettle that dares to call the pot black! The excess money issuance under all his predecessors combined is eclipsed by the excess money issuance during this chairman's tour of duty at the Fed. Nor can he have the excuse that he was misled by the siren-song of the welfare state. As his earlier article "Gold and Economic Freedom" will testify, he is one of the precious few who understands the gold-freedom nexus.
The chairman is traitor to the cause of sound money."
Before Alan Greenspan became a Central Banker he was an outspoken critic of central banking and especially fiat paper currency. Here is link to the monograph he authored in 1966 in "Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal"

So how many helicopters does it take to fly around 1 guy and how could that many helicopters possibly costs $1,600,000,000.00
Doesn't anyone else care that they are getting ripped off every day by the Bush Administration and their campaign contributors??
BTW, Lockheed Martin has an annual lobbying budget of $3.3MM and has made over $11,000,000 in individual campaign contributions since 1990. This of course has absolutely no relation to the BILLIONS in military contracts they win...
"Jan. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Malaysia isn't a place traders look for clues about the U.S. dollar, yet Asia's No. 10 economy may be offering some ominous ones.
They can be found in a recent report on international reserve holdings at Bank Negara Malaysia, the nation's central bank. It states that Malaysia made a $2.1 billion ``revaluation gain'' in 2004, ``arising mainly from the depreciation of the U.S. dollar against the major currencies.''
Central banks are always reticent to detail their holdings, but one can't help but wonder if Malaysia is buying an increasingly amount of euros -- or even yen -- these days. Its central bank sure didn't make that kind of cash holding the dollar, the currency to which its own, the ringgit, is pegged."
Malaysia becomes the first country to dump the dollar...
"Marijuana is not a harmless substance, though its scientifically acknowledged harms are quite minimal compared to other legally regulated intoxicants, including alcohol and tobacco. By far the greatest danger to health posed by the responsible use of cannabis in the United States today stems from a criminal arrest or conviction."
"The second set of papers, which are in the National Archives, are contained in vesting order number 248 which records the seizure of the company assets. What these files show is that on October 20 1942 the alien property custodian seized the assets of the UBC, of which Prescott Bush was a director. Having gone through the books of the bank, further seizures were made against two affiliates, the Holland-American Trading Corporation and the Seamless Steel Equipment Corporation. By November, the Silesian-American Company, another of Prescott Bush's ventures, had also been seized. "
What is the Bush Family business? War... The most profitable "business" in the world (especially when you are supplying both sides...).
Jan. 27, 2005 | And three makes a trend.
"One day after President Bush ordered his Cabinet secretaries to stop hiring commentators to help promote administration initiatives, and one day after the second high-profile conservative pundit was found to be on the federal payroll, a third embarrassing hire has emerged. Salon has confirmed that Michael McManus, a marriage advocate whose syndicated column, "Ethics & Religion," appears in 50 newspapers, was hired as a subcontractor by the Department of Health and Human Services to foster a Bush-approved marriage initiative. McManus championed the plan in his columns without disclosing to readers he was being paid to help it succeed."
More to come...(and these are just the ones dumb enough to be caught or not already on the CIA's under the table payroll (See Mockingbird below)

Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Seymour Hersh: "We've Been Taken Over by a Cult" from Democracy Now!
"Let's all forget this word “insurgency”. It's one of the most misleading words of all. Insurgency assumes that we had gone to Iraq and won the war and a group of disgruntled people began to operate against us and we then had to do counter-action against them. That would be an insurgency. We are fighting the people we started the war against. We are fighting the Ba'athists plus nationalists. We are fighting the very people that started -- they only choose to fight in different time spans than we want them to, in different places. We took Baghdad easily. It wasn't because be won. We took Baghdad because they pulled back and let us take it and decided to fight a war that had been pre-planned that they're very actively fighting."
"the amazing thing is we are been taken over basically by a cult, eight or nine neo-conservatives have somehow grabbed the government."
"You do have to wonder what a Democracy is when it comes down to a few men in the Pentagon and a few men in the White House having their way. What they have done is neutralize the C.I.A. because there were people there inside -- the real goal of what Goss has done was not attack the operational people, but the intelligence people. There were people -- serious senior analysts who disagree with the White House, with Cheney, basically, that's what I mean by White House, and Rumsfeld on a lot of issues, as somebody said, the goal in the last month has been to separate the apostates from the true believers. That's what's happening. The real target has been “diminish the agency.” I'm writing about all of this soon, so I don't want to overdo it, but there's been a tremendous sea change in the government. A concentration of power."
"Here's the other horrifying, sort of spectacular fact that we don't really appreciate. Since we installed our puppet government, this man, Allawi, who was a member of the Mukabarat, the secret police of Saddam, long before he became a critic, and is basically Saddam-lite. Before we installed him, since we have installed him on June 28, July, August, September, October, November, every month, one thing happened: the number of sorties, bombing raids by one plane, and the number of tonnage dropped has grown exponentially each month. We are systematically bombing that country. There are no embedded journalists at Doha, the Air Force base I think we’re operating out of. No embedded journalists at the aircraft carrier, Harry Truman. That's the aircraft carrier that I think is doing many of the operational fights. There’s no air defense, It's simply a turkey shoot."
"Iraq is being turn into a “free-fire zone” right in front of us. Hit everything, kill everything."
"It can be stated with a large degree of accuracy that, thanks to Feith and the OSP, the United States underestimated the Iraqi resistance, prompting Gen. Tommy Franks to call him "the fucking stupidest guy on the face of the earth," according to Bob Woodward."
Of course, this technology would never be abused...

Disclaimer: I am an independent who doesn't vote because I believe the game is rigged through the existing campaign finance laws (Weighted to ensure only two parties), the bought and paid for corporate media, and essential ownership of the leadership of the two major political parties (Not a dime' worth of difference between the two and a Hobson's choice for the voters)

President Bush said it was a "very discouraging" day when the U.S. death toll for the war rose above 1,400.
Where are those "Weapons of Mass Destruction" again???
How many American kids must die over a war built on lies???
"The U.S. dollar is no longer -- in our opinion is no longer -- (seen) as a stable currency, and is devaluating all the time, and that's putting troubles all the time," Fan said, speaking in English.
"So the real issue is how to change the regime from a U.S. dollar pegging ... to a more manageable ... reference ... say Euros, yen, dollars -- those kind of more diversified systems," he said."
I have been predicting this for months...
Some people (whose image of Bush has been formed through television and the corporate owned media) will not want to face the undeniable similarities...
"In 2002, Mr Begg was allegedly subjected to a month of daily beatings and threatened with death. He is also alleged to have been told by US interrogators that he would be sent to Egypt where the "real" torture would begin. In Guantanamo he was kept in solitary confinement for 19 months."
3 years of torture and still no Al Queda?? The Bush administration seems to be doing a superb job of ruining peoples lives in their fake ass war on "terrorists"...
Have we really sunk so low as a nation to appoint an Attorney General who approves the use of torture and thinks the Geneva Convention (which protects our own troops) is "quaint"??
"Like other polls, the Zogby poll shows that respondents have turned against the Iraq war: 52% now say the war wasn’t worth it, with 55% not confident about democracy’s prospects in the country.
And yes, 46% of those polled feel that the country is headed in the wrong direction. But here’s a real eye-opener:
The poll finds a higher percentage of Americans saying that they are ashamed that Mr. Bush is their president; three-in-ten (31%) Americans now hold that view, as compared to one-in-four (26%) a month ago. "
Of course, that 31% figure does not include people who are ashamed of Bush, but refuse to admit they were wrong about him to begin with.

"It sounds like there's an angle here of, 'Let's get around having any oversight by having the military do something that normally the [CIA] does, and not tell anybody.' That immediately raises all kinds of red flags for me. Why aren't they telling us?"
More state secret...More state lies... More morally challenged spooks running around the planet with "Get Out of Jail Free Cards" pretending to be Al Qaeda...
"It would not take much of a diversion of capital from paper assets to physical gold to drive the price well into 4-digit territory. Global financial assets exceed $70 trillion. The market cap of physical gold, assuming all central bank gold is for sale (which it is not) is around $1 trillion. If 1/10% of global financial assets chose to migrate to physical gold, it would represent a call on two years of global mine production. That trade would be impossible to execute at current prices. Of course, the real market cap of gold, taking central bank reserves out of the picture, is substantially less than $1 trillion. It is worth noting than in previous bear markets for paper assets, the ratio of gold to paper was not 1 to 70, but 1 to 4 (1980) and 1 to 5 (1932). Backup math for all of this is contained in our recent paper, Beardlsey Ruml’s Road to Ruin, that is posted on our website, www.tocqueville.com."
Disclaimer: I am an investor in this fund.
"In actions likely to undermine the dollar's value on currency markets, 70 per cent of central bank reserve managers said they had increased their exposure to the euro over the past two years. The majority thought eurozone money and debt markets were as attractive a destination for investment as the US."
Question: At what point in the dollar's continuing slide does it make sense to diversify into gold and/or other non-dollar denominated investments??

There are 3 major points made in Michael Rupert's Book: Crossing the Rubicon that are crucial to proving Cheney's guilt. Here is the summary. The article goes into more detail and provides citations for the evidence.
Means - Dick Cheney and the Secret Service: Dick Cheney was running a completely separate chain of Command & Control via the Secret Service, assuring the paralysis of Air Force response on 9/11. The Secret Service has the technology to see the same radar screens the FAA sees in real time. They also have the legal authority and technological capability to take supreme command in cases of national emergency. Dick Cheney was the acting Commander in Chief on 9/11. (Click here for a summary of these points)
Motive - Peak Oil: At some point between 2000 and 2007, world oil production reaches its peak; from that point on, every barrel of oil is going to be harder to find, more expensive to recover, and more valuable to those who recover and control it. Dick Cheney was well aware of the coming Peak Oil crisis at least as early as 1999, and 9/11 provided the pretext for the series of energy wars that Cheney stated, "will not end in our lifetime." (Click here for a summary of these points)
Opportunity - 9/11 War Games: The Air Force was running multiple war games on the morning of 9/11 simulating hijackings over the continental United States that included (at least) one "live-fly" exercise as well as simulations that placed "false blips" on FAA radar screens. These war games eerily mirrored the real events of 9/11 to the point of the Air Force running drills involving hijacked aircraft as the 9/11 plot actually unfolded. The war games & terror drills played a critical role in ensuring no Air Force fighter jocks - who had trained their entire lives for this moment - would be able to prevent the attacks from succeeding. These exercises were under Dick Cheney's management. (Click here for a summary of these points)
You are being lied to..systematically...scientifically...constantly...by your television set. Many who read this will resist this truth.
They don't want to give up what they have come to love...they don't want to stop using the television to mentally "drug" their children for temporary peace & quiet. They don't want to admit the reality that has become the United States of America..

"America's youth, killed and maimed for no goddamned reason. Those responsible need to be brought to justice for their crimes. "
"HOW DO WE TELL THESE KIDS THAT THERE WEREN'T ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN IRAQ ALL ALONG; THAT IS WAS JUST A MADE-UP EXCUSE TO SEND THEM OFF TO STEAL IRAQ'S OIL?
HOW DO WE TELL THEM? "
So where is the blazing inferno that melted structural steel??????
Thomas Jefferson reminds us what America USE to be about...
If violating the Geneva convention and torturing prisoners of war (and a significant number of innocent civilians) doesn't disqualify you for government contracts what does????
Proud to be an American....
The American people continue to get ripped off (while they wave and cheer) by the same group of liars who have been ripping them off for decades.
War is a Racket - Marine Corp Major General Smedley Butler
Watch that evil lying mother fucker Rumsfeld SQUIRM in his seat as a journalist FINALLY shows some BALLS to ask a member of the administration the right questions...
While the Journalist only busts Rumsfeld for Rumsfeld's own personal statements anyone who saw Fahrenheit 911 knows that Rumsfeld was also lying about other members of the administration (especially Bush, Cheney, Powell, & Rice) misrepresenting the "imminent" Iraqi "threat" to the United States.
More lies...More war...More blood...More death...(But first and foremost...More lies). Why should anyone believe the Bush administration on Iran when they have been proven liars on Iraq?
If US forces ARE operating inside Iran then that would be considered an act of war which would be unconstitutional and George Bush should be impeached immediately since only the Congress can authorize war.
If the government will not abide by the Constitution then from where do they derive their legitimacy? If the government in Washington is illegitimate then why should we continue to support it with our taxes?

First, while I am sickened to see photos of American soldiers dying in a war based on lies I am especially sickened that there will be a few Americans who will view these photos with joy. Not Iraqi sympathizers but those elites who are running and benefiting from the most profitable (and oldest) racket in the world: War
Every burning humvee, tank, Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, helicopter, or truck on the linked page will be replaced by you the tax payer and is going to net some person or company $10,000+ - $1MM in profit depending on the vehicle.
When you look at each picture understand that it is the same group of elites have been profiting off America's wars for decades. The overwhelming majority of which were based on lies (Remember the Maine, Gulf of Tonkin, Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, Gulf War #1, etc. etc. etc.
Any doubters should definitely read Marine Corp Major General Smedley Butler who chronicled the problem so magnificently in 1935 in the very short, highly readable "War is a Racket"

Donald Rumsfeld negotiated for Bechtel with Saddam Hussein on a pipeline in the 80s, GHW Bush works for The Carlyle Group, Condaleleeza Rice was on the BoDs at Chevron (and even has an oil tanker named for her) and Dick Cheney was the Chairman and CEO of Halliburton and still own shares...Guess which companies are profiting the most from the war, federal contracts, and administration policies???
Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream created a graphic depiction of spending priorities in this animation:
The following is a conversation with Mr. Ron Supinski of the Public Information Department of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank. This is an account of that conversation.
CALLER - Mr. Supinski, does my country own the Federal Reserve System?
MR. SUPINSKI - We are an agency of the government.
CALLER - That's not my question. Is it owned by my country?
MR. SUPINSKI - It is an agency of the government created by congress.
CALLER - Is the Federal Reserve a Corporation?
MR. SUPINSKI - Yes
CALLER - Does my government own any of the stock in the Federal Reserve?
MR. SUPINSKI - No, it is owned by the member banks.
CALLER - Are the member banks private corporations?
MR. SUPINSKI - Yes
The rest of the call went downhill from there...
The mainstream media begins to challenge the myth of Al-Qaeda...

"Close (closer than the last phony) but no cigar. Note the shape of the cheeks and the width of the nose."
Why did the CIA authenticate a tape where it is painfully obvious to anyone possessing the gift of sight can see that the person confessing to 9-11 is obviously not Osama Bin Ladin?
From the Article:
"The head of Congressional Security Salvador Alarcn verified that the Israelis had in their possession nine hand grenades, sticks of dynamite, detonators, wiring and two 9mm 'Glock' automatics. "
The two mossad agents were arrested on October 10th 2001 @ 5:00 PM. I think one could assume that the Mossad agents planned to wire everything up that evening after everyone went home and then have the big blast occur the next day...exactly one month after 9-11...
From the Article:
"Who was Michael Terence Meiring and why did the FBI get him out? How did he manage to leave the county despite warrants of arrest and hold departure orders? Why hasn't he been returned to this city to face charges of illegal possession of explosives and reckless imprudence despite promises last year by the police and the National Bureau of Investigation? Why doesn’t the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit want to say exactly what kind of explosives went off in Meiring’s hotel room?"
The US Embassy paid his hospital bills and the FBI agents (and some NSA agents according to some accounts) removed him from his hospital room where he was under arrest and medivaced him back to the United States...

"On top of all those reasons for doubt [in the official story of 9-11] is the fact that a proven master in the art of the cover-up has been placed by President George W. Bush in the position of greatest responsibility for solving the 9-11 crime. The new head of the criminal division of the U.S. Department of Justice is the New Jersey lawyer, Michael Chertoff. Chertoff was minority counsel in the first Senate investigation related to the death of Vincent Foster and majority special counsel in the second such Senate investigation."
Evidence of Vince Foster's very obvious (when actually examined) murder can be found voluminously cataloged here:
"Malaysia is looking into ways of reducing its reliance on the US dollar for trade and turning to other currencies in view of the volatility of the US dollar, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said yesterday. "
The dollar continues its slide. I feel like an Enron shareholder watching the value of his 401K dropping percipitously before the big final plunge...
I expect the dollar, the housing market, and the price of oil in a relative stasis until after the inauguration and then expect two to accelerate their decline while I expect the price of oil to rise.
Gordon & Joan Kahl
From the Comments: "During his flight from the federal police, Kahl wrote a letter containing these words: 'I would have liked nothing other than to be left alone so I could enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, which our forefathers willed to us.' "
From the Article:"While Gordon Kahl was pinned to the floor by the 6 to 8 Delta Force panthers, still under attack from the gun butts, the FBI agent with the fireman's axe turned to Gordon Kahl himself and chopped off his hand. Then he went around and chopped off Gordon Kahl's other hand, and then both of his feet were severed. While screaming with pain and with blood gushing out profusely over the floor where his hands and feet used to be, Gordon Kahl was shot in the head at close range, killing him."
How many can you recognize in play in the US?
"Fascism is an extreme right-wing ideology which embraces nationalism as the transcendent value of society. The rise of Fascism relies upon the manipulation of populist sentiment in times of national crisis. Based on fundamentalist revolutionary ideas, Fascism defines itself through intense xenophobia, militarism, and supremacist ideals. Although secular in nature, Fascism's emphasis on mythic beliefs such as divine mandates, racial imperatives, and violent struggle places highly concentrated power in the hands of a self-selected elite from whom all authority flows to lesser elites, such as law enforcement, intellectuals, and the media."
-- Ben Tripp paraphrasing Mussolini's diary
"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power."
-- Benito Mussolini (from Encyclopedia Italiana, Giovanni Gentile, editor).

Smuggling American GI's is a booming business in Iraq these days. For $1,000 and his/her weapon and uniform, any US soldier can get him or herself out of Iraq through Kurdistan. Last April, a female US soldier was captured by the Kurds, allies of the US, dressed like a Kurdish woman with a face veil, attempting to cross into Turkey.
I serve you not, if you I follow,
Shadowlike, o'er hill and hollow;
And bend my fancy to your leading,
All too nimble for my treading.
When the pilgimage is done,
And we've the landscape overrun,
I am bitter, vacant, thwarted,
And your heart is unsupported.
Vainly valiant, you have missed
The manhood that should yours resist, -
Its complement; but if I could,
In severe or cordial mood,
Lead you rightly to my altar,
Where the wisest Muses falter,
And worship that world-warming spark,
Which dazzles me in midnight dark,
Equalising small and large,
While the soul it doth surcharge,
Till the poor is wealthy grown,
And the hermit is never alone, -
The traveller and the road seem one
With the errand to be done, -
That were a man and lover's part,
That were Freedom's whitest chart.

A U.S. Border Patrol agent has been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking after authorities found 750 pounds of marijuana in his squad car following a high-speed freeway chase, according to a criminal complaint filed in San Diego.
The US Government has a history of promoting fake terrorism to advance their agendas and the American Press has a history of covering up for them no matter how much evidence emerges over time. The bombing in Oklahoma gave the federal government, at the time unprecedented new police powers and effectively tarred the militia movement which had been gaining strength across the country. It also appears to have wiped out most of the evidence in the government's murder of the Branch Davidians in Waco which were stored in the building.
More evidence on the Government's involvement can be found here:

The complete text of The Discourse can be found here:
There is an excellent analysis by the economist Murray Rothbard here:
What is so remarkable is that La Boétie wrote The Discourse in 1552 or 1553 - four-hundred-and-forty years ago! It is interesting that modern tyrants use the same formula today to subjugate and dominate us today. Here are the main elements of the La Boétie analysis on Voluntary Servitude as summarized in a monograph by Frederick Mann:
- The only power tyrants have is the power relinquished to them by their victims.
- The tyrant is often a weak little man. He has no special qualities that set him apart from anyone else - yet the gullible idolize him.
- The victims bring about their own subjection - the "win their enslavement."
- If without violence the tyrant is simply not obeyed, he becomes "naked and undone and as nothing."
- Once you resolve to serve no more, you are free.
- We are all born free and naturally free.
- Grown-up adults should adopt reason as their guide and never become slaves of anybody.
- People can be enslaved through either force or deception.
- When people lose their freedom through deceipt, it is because they mislead themselves.
- People born into slavery regard it as a natural condition.
- In general, people are shaped more by their environment than by their natural capacities - if they allow it.
- Habit and custom are powerful forces that keep people enslaved.
- There are always some people who cannot be tamed, subjected, or enslaved. Even if freedom were to be entirely extinguished, these people would re-invent it.
- Lovers of freedom tend to be ineffective because they are not known to one another.
- People who lose their freedom also lose their valor (strength of mind, bravery).
- Among free people there is competition to do good for humanity.
- People seem to be most gullible towards those who deliberately set out to fool them. It is as if people have a need to be deceived.
- Tyrants stupefy their victims with "pastimes and vain pleasures flashed before their eyes."
- Tyrants parade like "workers of magic."
- Tyrants can only give back part of what they first took from their victims.
- Tyrants attain their positions through: (a) Force; (b) Birth; or (c) Election.
- Tyrants create a power structure, consisting of a multi-layered hierarchy, staffed by a conspiracy of accomplices. Accomplices receive their positions as a favor from the tyrant.
The worst dregs of society gather around the tyrant - they are people of weak character who trade servility for unearned wealth.
- Accomplices can profit greatly from their positions in the hierarchy.
- If people withdraw their support, the tyrant topples over from his own corrupted weight.
- Éttiene de la Boétie
